Pain Relief, Prevention, and Lasting Health: The Trident Approach

Have you ever gone to the doctor, only to leave feeling worse with a temporary fix or a solution you didn’t want?

Maybe you felt like there was no alternative treatment. No other option.

When Dr. Kyle Garbart hurt his back providing emergency medical care in the military 25 years ago, he thought he’d have no other choice but to get back surgery. Then, he sought chiropractic care. Instead of back surgery, Kyle received the one thing he hadn’t known was possible: pain relief. Now, together with his wife, Tabitha, they run Trident Health and Chiropractic, ensuring that everyone can receive holistic pain relief and preventative care that addresses the root causes of pain before it manifests as larger injuries. They believe that everyone should be able to experience healing in an environment where they’re welcomed as their whole selves – mind, body, and spirit.

That’s why Trident’s providers and patients treat one another like family, walking together on a journey toward full functionality of the body, and welcoming one another like they would a neighbor or a friend. At Trident, you’re not treated like another box to tick off.  Here, you’re the first priority. You get a voice in your treatment. You get Kyle and Tabitha’s undivided attention and personalized care.

You matter.

At Trident, you aren’t just committing to chiropractic care. You’re committing to a healthier life for yourself. Trident’s team is here to guide you with expertise and compassion.

Dr. Kyle Garbart

DC, CCEP

Chiropractic care is therapeutic treatment provided by a licensed chiropractor, like our very own Dr. Kyle Garbart, designed to target pain in the muscles, joints, and bones. Your chiropractic care treatment may include a few different therapeutic modalities.

“I was in my 40s on my 3rd career when I decided to become a chiropractor"

Dr. Kyle Garbart wasn’t always a chiropractic medicine practitioner. Once upon a time, he was a survival swimmer and rescue diver, serving in the U.S. military as a hospital corpsman. He’s also worked in cardiac catheterization labs and had a long career in healthcare information technology (IT) – so you could say he’s lived a few lives at this point. However, they’ve all led him here. When Kyle had been working in the IT field for a while, he decided to pursue what he loved and go to Sherman College of Chiropractic. He wanted to help other people experience the relief he had received when he injured his back in the military.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Tabitha and Kyle opened Trident Health and Chiropractic, and he’s been embodying their values of lifelong learning and innovative treatments ever since. He now holds certifications in Dry Needling, Cupping, Graston Level I, Rock Tape FMT, and is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner. Kyle is also the author of “Healing the Trident Way”, a book on holistic living and chiropractic care.

Most importantly, he can’t wait for you to come in. He and Tabitha treat patients like family, so much so that he always says, “You never know what you’ll hear at Trident!”

Tabitha Garbart

DNP, RN

Tabitha Garbart has been a nurse for 21 years, but the best part of those years has been her time at Trident Health and Chiropractic.

Not only do her patients say she’s the conductor of the well-run orchestra that is Trident, but she loves getting to know each and every one of them. Here, she has the time to dedicate herself to patient care and truly be with her patients.

But that’s not all she does: Tabitha also teaches in two doctoral programs, one at Grand Canyon University and one at Chamberlain University.

When she’s not educating her patients or students or working with Kyle to devise a perfect plan for a particular patient, she enjoys spending time with their blended family, as well as travelling, reading, trying new foods, and, of course, scuba diving.

Tabitha can’t wait for you to experience the benefits of chiropractic care, and her personal favorite, Teeth Whitening.  She sees how much easier a healthy lifestyle is to maintain for patients who regularly take care of their health with Trident’s services, and is eager to share the benefits with her Spartanburg community.
